So far, no bueno

Well it’s been two weeks and we’ve seen no sign of our little hop bines. Perhaps we planted them too late in the season. In the research i’ve done (i.e. lurking on message boards) it seems like this might not be the worst thing. Some people have had no bines their first year only to have a hops explosion in the second season. Here’s to hoping.

In other news we intended to do some shopping for supplies last weekend but I decided to go and have a baby instead, kinda threw things off a bit. But we are getting back on track and should be rocking our first batch pretty soon.
